quality food helpful receptionist lumpy pillows poor customer service
the breakfast had a good choice of quality food and was hot the receptionist was very helpful with directions to the local area it was a nice surprise to have a view from our big clean room the room was comfortable
the bed and pillows felt lumpy and were not comfortable there was constant door banging all night i thought the walls would have been thicker customer service was lacking there were barely any greetings

The environment looked clean upon arrival. The reception area looked tidy. Staff working behind the reception desk were friendly. They were also helpful with directions.
Rooms seem quite outdated. The interiors do not reflect a modern standard. The hotel lacked basic amenities such as a mini fridge. Even drinking water was not available in the room.

solid choice near riverside

spacious feel excellent service
the room was clean and tidy. i especially liked the spacious feel of the room (it felt much bigger than usual!). the barman alex provided excellent service and engaged in sociable chat to the bar.
the pillows were very uncomfortable (this really impacted my sleep).

the reception staff was very helpful and happy. bar staff was prompt and helpful as well. i was impressed that they handled the fire alarm situation with safety as the top priority.

the hotel is close to the railway station. riverside retail, leisure, and entertainment options are across the road. you can see the football ground from the hotel. a mini-gym is also available for guest use.

missing indicator insufficient milk
The room seemed quite worn. I noticed water stains on the ceiling, remnants of a past leak. The tap's indicator for hot and cold water was missing. we received only one packet of biscuits for two guests. The provided milk was insufficient for the amount of tea and coffee. I was also surprised only shampoo was available. No conditioner was available at all.
